KÖK Development Program Continues with Online Trainings

As Türk Tuborg, operating in the food and beverage sector, we aim to strengthen the professional and personal competencies of women engineering students studying in disciplines directly related to production. With this goal in mind, we launched the KÖK Development Program and completed the first phase—in-person trainings—across July, August, and September.
Brought to life with the motto ‘Join, Learn, Discover’ our new social impact program received 2,500 applications. Following a comprehensive evaluation by the Türk Tuborg jury and project partners, 100 women students—from 18 cities and 30 public universities in Türkiye (41 food engineering, 39 chemical engineering, 20 agricultural engineering)completed a one-week training camp.
The program’s first year will conclude at the end of November. During the camps, participants advanced their skills through nine technical trainings and seven personal development modules. They also met inspiring guests—including actor Sıla Topçam; open-water swimmer and multiple record-holder Aysu Türkoğlu; social entrepreneur and Dean of the Faculty of Communication at Istanbul Bilgi University Prof. Dr. Itır Erhart; and Wellbees Founder Melis Abacıoğlu—and heard their stories.
Students who joined experience-sharing sessions with Türk Tuborg engineers will reinforce their learning with a total of 20 hours of online trainings running through November. Those who successfully complete all stages will be awarded the Türk Tuborg KÖK Development Program Certificate, which we aim to establish as a strong industry reference in a short time.
As Türk Tuborg, throughout the first year of the KÖK Development Program, we closely track each student’s progress and remain by their side whenever they need support. While we continue this journey—helping young women step into our sector with stronger capabilities and confidence—we are committed to playing a leading role in enhancing the equal, full, and inclusive participation of women and youth in working life as well as in social and cultural life. Through initiatives that strengthen women’s employment and reinforce their standing in professional life, we will continue advancing diversity and equality with determination.
