Applications Closed for the Second Year of the KÖK Development Program

At Türk Tuborg, we support the increased representation of women in business, production, and leadership. In its second year, we continue to expand the scope of our social impact project, the KÖK Development Program, designed for aspiring women engineers. The application period for this year’s program—supporting women students in food, agricultural, and chemical engineering to start their careers with greater confidence—has now come to an end.
Reflecting the strong interest in the program even in its second year, we received nearly 4,000 applications from 38 cities and 58 universities across Türkiye, building a highly qualified candidate pool.
Built around the motto ‘Join, Learn, Discover,’ the KÖK Development Program aims to better prepare women engineering students for professional life. Following the successful completion of the first year with 100 participants, we are continuing preparations for the second year with great enthusiasm. This year, we are taking our goal one step further by hosting 120 university students across five camps to be held in July and September.
In the next phase, applicants—women engineering students in their 2nd, 3rd, and 4th years of university—will be carefully evaluated based on academic and individual achievement criteria.
Participants selected for the KÖK Development Program will gain insights into the full value chain of the food and beverage industry—from field to table—through a sustainability perspective, guided by expert academics and thought leaders. Throughout the program, they will engage in case studies, inspirational sessions, and personal development workshops, gaining diverse perspectives and exposure to innovative and forward-looking approaches. In addition to the in-person camps, the program will be supported by online trainings, and participants will also have the opportunity to join “Experience Meetings” with women engineers working at Türk Tuborg.
Through this program, we aim to create a strong ecosystem where young women from across Türkiye come together to learn in solidarity, supported by empathy and collective intelligence. In this new year of the program, participants who successfully complete the process will once again be awarded a certificate, gaining a head start in their professional journeys.
